Be a part of history! In this important election year, a diverse group of organizations serving and advocating for seniors and people with disabilities have come together to sponsor a Candidates Forum on Aging and Disability Long Term Care, featuring the candidates for Governor and US Senate (all invited).
Scheduled for July 30 in Green Bay from 11 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., this is an historic opportunity to hear from statewide candidates about the issues that affect our lives, our futures and the future of our State. Registration fees are on a sliding scale, $10-$35, and assistance is available. See the registration form for details on assistance and location of forum. Efforts are underway to arrange for transportation.
There are also opportunities for organizations to join as co-sponsors to help underwrite costs for the forum and provide additional scholarships so that as many people with disabilities and their families can attend. This is a statewide event, with statewide importance. See the sponsorship fom for more information.
Sponsors currently include Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups (CWAG), Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW), Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD), Survival Coalition, Community Alliance of Providers of Wisconsin (CAPOW), the Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin (BIAW) and the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition (WDVC).
