House Passes ADA Amendments Act

On Wednesday, September 17, 2008 the U.S. House passed the Senate version of the ADA Amendments Act (Senate Bill 3406) by unanimous consent.  The bill now heads to the White House for President Bush’s signature.

Absentee Voting Reminders

There has been some confusion raised in the past few days about absentee voting.  Many people around the state have received phone calls or mailings about absentee voting.  These people received applications to request an absentee ballot from their municipal clerk, except sometimes the return address for the ballot is for the wrong municipal clerk.  The Elections Division of the Government Accountability Board, who manages elections in the state, issued the following press release on 9-16-08 about this matter and absentee voting in general:
